Olive & almond Wood Lump Charcoal
We source all of our raw materials at the end of the growing season. After all olives and almonds have been harvested, farmers will prune olive and almond trees. Pruning will encourage a flush new growth the following year. The pruned pieces are then shipped to our facilities where we turn them into lump charcoal. In most olive and almond producing countries there are laws forbidding cutting olive and almond trees, as they are protected by law.
All of our product is harvested in a socially responsible way.
Our lump wood is made from 100% totally natural olive wood that has been carbonized into charcoal. A pure product that has no chemical binders or igniting agents in any of sort – pure lump charcoal. No pressed composite bits of wood and organic material. Just big chunks of pure olive hardwood. It is generally the chef’s choice for cooking as it offers a totally natural cook with high intense heat
